Setup guide - MS Dynamics

How to setup the connection

The sync is one-way from Microsoft Dynamics CRM to the Falcon platform. That means that the access that Falcon requires is read-only, so your Microsoft Dynamics data won’t be affected. Furthermore, during the import process you will have full control over the data fields being imported.

Importing MS Dynamics contacts to Falcon takes three steps

STEP 1: ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE ENABLED THE CORRECT PERMISSION SETTINGS IN Microsoft Dynamics CRM

The following steps must be performed by your organization’s Microsoft Dynamics CRM administrator. Your admin will need to set the necessary permissions in Microsoft Dynamics to allow Falcon to access your data. The process requires Integrated Apps to be turned on – you can read more about that here. Falcon will also need permission to read your contacts.

STEP 2: ESTABLISH CONNECTION FROM FALCON TO Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Hover over your profile picture in the lower left corner and click on ‘Settings’. In the left-side menu click ‘Integrations & API’ then the Microsoft Dynamics ‘Connect’ button.

Enter your Microsoft Dynamics CRM account credentials into the pop-up and click ‘connect’.

The pop-up will disappear and the status is updated to ‘Connected’. The connection is now successfully established.

After successfully connecting your system to Falcon, you will need to set up a synchronization to begin importing and syncing your contacts. You can read more on how to do that here.
