FAQ: Reconnecting or refreshing channels.

Learn how to get your channels up & running again.

 

If you receive a channel disconnect email, telling you that some of your pages are offline, it means that Falcon has lost access to your page(s) and cannot index it until the permissions have been restored. We have a quick process to restore the connection.

Note - Only Administrators and Team Leaders can carry out this task. Please also be aware of that the respective Admin or Team Leader must be a manager of the respective page on its native network, e.g. Page Manager or Content Creator on a Facebook page.

STEP-BY-STEP: RECONNECT CHANNELS

Before you start, make sure you have the log in details ready for the channel you need to update.

1. Click on your Profile Picture > Settings > Channels

2. At the top you'll see networks with disconnected channels. Select the Reconnect icon next to the appropriate network.

3. If asked if you want to leave the page, click Leave this Page.

4. If you're not logged into your profile on the native network, you will be prompted to Log in and confirm access or update.

5. Authorize each of the requests with Okay or Accept. Do not skip any of these, or you'll run into issues with Falcon.io.

You'll then be redirected back to Falcon to re-connect the selected channel and resume your social media management activities.

STEP-BY-STEP: REFRESHING ALREADY 'CONNECTED' CHANNELS

Occasionally, you may be asked to refresh the connection for a specific channel even though the channel is not disconnected.

1. Click on your Profile Picture > Settings > you will land on the Overview page.

2. Within the 'Add channel' module, select the relevant social network.

3. If asked if you want to leave the page, click Leave this Page.

4. If you're not logged into your profile on the native network, you will be prompted to Log in and confirm access or update.

5. Authorize each of the requests with Okay or Accept. Do not skip any of these, or you'll run into issues with Falcon.io.

You'll then be redirected back to Falcon.

6. From the presented channels list view, view all"Connected channels administered by you" by pressing 'show' and select the channel or channels that you wish to refresh the connection for, and finalize the process by pressing the 'Connect Channels' button.
