Geo-targeting.

Target Facebook content by language or location.

 

Geo-targeting allows you to specify exactly who you would like to see your Facebook message/post based on their location and language. Considering the plethora of activity going on across social media every day – this feature will help you stand out by keeping your messages as relevant and targeted as possible.

STEP-BY-STEP: HOW TO GEO-TARGET YOUR CONTENT.

1. Under Publish, select Create New Post.

2. Choose the page you would like to post to – note that you can choose multiple pages.

3. Enter your message (and/or selected media, i.e. link, video, photo) and scroll down to Geo-Targeting.

4. Choose the Country from the drop-down list, along with the Language, as required, and select Add to confirm.

5. Additional options such as City and Region will appear once you select the Country 

6. Select Publish or Schedule and your message will appear only to users with profiles that correspond with your geo targeting selection.

STEP-BY-STEP: HOW TO SET YOUR PERSONAL DEFAULT GEO-TARGETS.

In your Falcon profile, you can save a geo-targeting template so that you always target a specific country or language. To set or change the targeting preferences for your profile:

1. Go to Organizational Settings.

2. Select your profile and choose Edit User.

3. Set the geo-targeting template for your profile – by Language or Country.

4. Save your changes.

STEP-BY-STEP: ADDING COUNTRY/LANGUAGE FOR USERS WITH DEFAULT GEO-TARGETING.

1. Under Publish, select Create New Post.

2. Choose the page you would like to post to – note that you can choose multiple pages).

3. Enter your message (and/or selected media, i.e. link, photo, flash).

4. If you’re default geo-targeted to a specific Country you can also add a Language manually.

5. Choose the Language, as required, and select Add to confirm. You will see your selections in the box below.

6. Select Publish and your message will appear only to users with profiles that correspond with your geo targeting selection.
